Greg gained experience working in the NHS and private sectors. He graduated from King’s College London with a master’s degree in Physiotherapy and is presently working at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Greg continues to be involved in endurance sports, having previously competed for Great Britain in Triathlon events. His knowledge of sport and experience in the healthcare system means he is well placed to support you to achieve your goals.
 
Looking ahead to next year, Greg is aiming to finish on the podium in the Thames swim marathon.

  • Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Massage
  • Heath and Care Professionals Council registered (HCPC)
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP)
  • Msc Physiotherapy (2021)

Sports Massage

Reduce the stress and tension that can build up in the soft tissues of the body during exercise. This form of massage is used to increase endurance and improve performance.

What to expect.

Assessment

Your initial consultation will begin with a full health history to enable your massage therapist to learn more about what you are seeking help and your goals for treatment. This will be followed by a physical examination.

Following your examination your massage therapist will discuss their findings and talk to you about the treatment options and a plan going forward designed to meet your specific needs.

Treatment and exercises

Once you are happy with your treatment options and have had any questions you may have answered your first treatment can start. Your first visit will include approximately 30 minutes of sports massage tailored to suit your individual requirements.

Sports massage is the manipulation of soft tissues via various manual techniques with the aim to reduce symptoms of pain, while improving flexibility and quality of movement.

It can be used to prepare or recover from strenuous training load and help minimise the risk of injuries.

We use the leading massage oil in the industry which is used for massage work on  athletes in Premiership football, international rugby, cricket, swimming, ice-hockey, softball, track athletics, and rowing all the way up the the world stage.

Ingredients

Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Beeswax, Essential Oil of Lemon, Essential Oil of Manuka, Natural Vitamin E, Arnica Flower Extract, Calendula Flower Extract and Hypericum Extract.

Citral, Eugenol, Geraniol, Limonene and Linalool are naturally occurring, declarable constituent ingredients of the relevant essential oils.

All of the products are 100% Natural and are IFRA and EU 1223/2009 compliant.

The only list of contradictions are:

  • Infectious diseases – Including symptoms of fever and hypothermia
  • First trimester of pregnancy
  • Acute injury within the first 48hours
  • Cancer
